Aidan Synnott

Aidan has run businesses across the Charles River portfolio in North America and Europe since joining CRL Japan in 2009. He moved to the USA two years later and held different operational and matrix roles as well as being involved in acquiring and integrating the companies that built up CRL’s Discovery portfolio. In 2018 he moved to France to run the RMS, Biologics, Insourcing Solutions and Safety Assessment businesses, before taking on leadership of global Discovery in 2023.

With a background in genetics from Trinity College, Dublin,  he obtained a full scholarship from the Japanese Ministry of Education to do a Biotechnology doctorate in the Tokyo Institute of Technology, which awarded him the Kamata Gold Medal prize for best thesis.
