Chris Barnes

Chris has recently joined our Discovery leadership team and is a highly experienced preclinical leader with more than 25 years of drug discovery and cell therapy expertise. He has led research teams in multiple therapeutic areas, progressing novel therapies through key go/no-go milestones, from hit-to-lead, through lead optimization and into development, at both biotech start-up and large pharmaceutical companies, in the UK and internationally.

 

Chris previously served in key preclinical roles at Adaptimmune, Vertex, Sanofi-Aventis and Merck KGaA.
